How it Works
A Heat-pump collects “free energy” just like a solar water heater.
OPERATION
A Heat-pump works by transferring heat – not by converting electrical energy in to heat. It removes the energy from the warm air in the environment. This energy is converted and used to super heat your water which is then stored in the insulated storage vessel.
A small amount of electricity is required to operate the compressor.
The quantity of heat delivered to the geyser is 4 times the quantity of electricity used.

The Integrated Heat-pump is a standalone unit designed for vertical installation. This product is recommended for use under the following conditions:
- In a split level building such as a townhouse or duplex where there is no space directly overhead to store the geyser vessel.
- It can be placed outside the house or in a purpose built cupboard. It is recommended to have the unit placed on the north side of the residence for optimum efficiency.
- Mounted in a basement, kitchen or laundry. The warm air will increase the efficiency.
- This unit has a heating capacity of 2.6Kw with electricity consumption of 800w. The storage capacity is 150,190,300 Litres
